Imagine the freedom of travelling from one day to the next knowing that at the end of each a warm welcome, a delicious dinner, your luggage and a comfortable bed await you! The Home-To-Home Bed & Breakfast Network offers you all of this and much more.
The Home-To-Home Network member B&B's have been involved in the B&B business for quite a number of years. They are all very experienced and waiting to provide the Home-To-Home traveller with the best possible experience.
Your hosts will prepare the meals for you and either take you to the trail or make sure that you get there ok. The luggage will be taken to the next B&B, or you and your car will be accompanied to the end point of your daily hike and you will be brought back to your starting point. It all depends on the route or activity you take for the day. Each B&B owner knows their area best and will be able to make the best suggestions for your day out. Your next hosts will be informed about your starting time and route to ensure a safe arrival. You will pay each B&B separately since they are all independent and the costs for the transport of pickup or drop off and/or your luggage will vary from place to place. We suggest taking your car with you to make your return home easier for you at the end of your travel and you might want to use it for some spontaneous excursions as well.
The network has been developed especially for hikers along the Bruce Trail but other activities like biking on the beautiful back roads of the Bruce Peninsula or snowshoeing are possible as well. Due to the nature of the Bruce Trail and the distances on each days hike we do normally not recommend to bring small children unless you have made alternative arrangements.
Our Home-To-Home Coordinator will help you plan your trip from start to finish and will make every effort to place you in the B&B's that best accommodate your plans, of course depending on availability.
Home-To-Home B&B hosts want to do everything to make your entire stay along the Peninsula as comfortable as possible. The hosts will communicate with each other to ensure that meals are not repeated along the way as well as discussing any dietary requirements.
You should be aware that all B&B's are individual operating entities. As such not all of them can offer private bathrooms, some are licensed to serve alcohol, some are required to charge HST, some do not accept credit cards. Our Coordinator will inform you about all of the details when you make your reservation.
We wish you a pleasant stay on the Bruce Peninsula!
